Frequently Asked Questions
What type of medical conditions would this help?

I help dogs that have:

An active lifestyle: agility, frisbee, dock diving, hiking, swimming, or any high-energy sport.

An injury recovery: surgery recovery, acute or chronic muscle insult (sprains, strains, and overload), compensatory movement patterns, and post-injury immobilization.

Body signals: stiffness or shows signs of movement limitations without an obvious injury.

How often does my dog need massage therapy?

About once per month to start out. I keep in mind that each dog is different and has unique physical demands.

How do I know if the massage is working?

We know trigger point therapy massage is working when we directly observe improvement in joint range of motion.

What if my dog won’t lie on their side?

Some dogs won’t lie down, and that’s perfectly fine. I can work on them standing up. I can still treat the trigger points, and the dog will feel much better afterward. The only limitation is that I can’t check their range of motion, but I can still locate and address the trigger points effectively.
